About me

Welcome to my little corner of the Internet!

I’m Emily.  I’m married to Clay.  We have four kiddies, Evelyne (8), Harris (6), Sullivan (3), and Elaina (9 months).

Blogging is my attempt to journal my ever-spinning thoughts about motherhood, health, spirituality, family, and everything else.

I learned awhile back that I’m a Maven:  I love ideas, I love learning new ideas and information, and sharing those ideas with people is what makes my world go ’round.

I hope to pursue honesty and authenticity here, and I hope you’ll join me by adding your voice to the conversation.

  1. Glad to see you have a blog. I’ll be happy to keep up with you guys this way since you won’t be around to bump into at showers anymore! 😦 Good luck out there!

  2. hey- i need to email you, but don’t have your email address- so email me. it’s the same as always. my brother is looking for a church in memphis and i need some help! he might change his mind before i find a couple for him to check out!!

  3. Dear Emily,
Love your blog title and the picture is too cute. I’m adding you to my blogroll and will enjoy reading. . . The move to Seattle will be quite the adventure. I’m an Alabama girl who enjoys the lower price of living, but before marriage and kids I enjoyed a year in California, a year in Colorado, and a year in Oregon. It will be an adventure! You’ll love it, I bet. 🙂

  4. good luck with your move…i posted a comment on your kairos blog, don’t know if you saw it…have you served on a number of weekends? are you looking to get plugged into a kairos community in seattle?

  5. Yes, thanks for commenting again! This is actually my first Kairos weekend, I’m one of the few on the team that’s never done a weekend before. Thankfully, my role as spiritual director is a little more in the background, so it’s not too overwhelming! I’ve definitely thought about finding a Kairos community in Seattle, we’ll see how it goes! =)

Hi Emily, I think I’m one of the last to start a blog, so I’m finally getting started. Yours is so cute! I’m still figuring out how to just post! 🙂 I hope you guys are doing well. I will be in Seattle for a convention this October, so maybe we’ll see you there! ~april

  7. welcome to seattle. if you haven’t found a new home church yet, send me a note, and I’d love to help. My husband and I go to Mars Hill Church, and they have several campuses throughout Seattle. Lots of support for families there.

  8. I’m not exactly how I landed here, but wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog.

I look forward to reading more.

  9. I love your site! 🙂
