Furnished chaos

At least our house is furnished now.  I can’t tell you how gratifying it was for us last night to sit on a COUCH with our feet propped-up on an OTTOMAN and watch a tv bigger than 12 inches.  There were also pots and pans eating out of REAL BOWLS involved in our evening festivities.  (still with a plastic spoon, haven’t found the silverware yet) And don’t get me started on what it did to us to combine the experience of the DVR and pausing the Olympics combined with all these other luxuries.  And then we slept on a REAL BED that was higher than six inches off the ground, and for the first time in two and a half weeks, I didn’t sleep on a couch pillow.  I did spend so much time unpacking yesterday before Clay got home that I totally screwed-up my back (I have back problems when I’m pregnant) and could barely move last night.

I lost a bit of my motivation for unpacking today, but I need to get a move-on because my brother and sister-in-law and niece are coming for a visit tomorrow!!!!!!!!

  1. Get yourself to a chiropractor, young lady!

I had to unpack our household when pregnant with #2 and chasing #1 around. Not easy. God bless!

  2. I’m afraid my physical therapist husband who works with back specialists would never talk to me again if I saw a chiropractor. =) It’s fine now, I just did too much at once the other day… good excuse to rest now!

  4. Whoops, I forgot to say…isn’t it funny what we really “need” when we have to live without? Also what we appreciate when we get it back?

  5. Hey Em! Life has finally slowed down enough for me to start reading blogs again. I am so sorry about your ordeal with the movers and everything. I’m wondering if this is a common thing b/c we were charged double our quoted amount too AND they forgot our mattress among other things AND they got there 3 hours late AND they didn’t leave until like 2 in the morning!! But I didn’t have to wait as long as you did so I guess I should be greatful! I’m glad you have your stuff back. We miss you guys!!

  6. Sorry, I guess the jokes on me. I didn’t realize that physical therapy was exclusive of other treatments.

  7. It’s not exclusive, Julie, my husband’s just more of the mind that chiropractors steal your money by making you come back so many times and don’t usually heal you when a good PT can heal you and you never have to come back. =)
