Child of God, wife to Clay, mom to Evelyne (3) and Harris (1).
Blogging is my attempt to journal my ever-spinning thoughts about motherhood, spirituality, church, family, and everything else. We’re transplants from the South to the Seattle area, and we’ve finally found a new normal here. I hope to pursue honesty and authenticity in the communication of my thoughts here, and instead of bombarding Clay with theories and rants and theological twists, maintain a more open-ended outlet to the public.
Glad to see you have a blog. I’ll be happy to keep up with you guys this way since you won’t be around to bump into at showers anymore!
Good luck out there!
hey- i need to email you, but don’t have your email address- so email me. it’s the same as always. my brother is looking for a church in memphis and i need some help! he might change his mind before i find a couple for him to check out!!
Dear Emily,
Love your blog title and the picture is too cute. I’m adding you to my blogroll and will enjoy reading. . . The move to Seattle will be quite the adventure. I’m an Alabama girl who enjoys the lower price of living, but before marriage and kids I enjoyed a year in California, a year in Colorado, and a year in Oregon. It will be an adventure! You’ll love it, I bet.
good luck with your move…i posted a comment on your kairos blog, don’t know if you saw it…have you served on a number of weekends? are you looking to get plugged into a kairos community in seattle?
Yes, thanks for commenting again! This is actually my first Kairos weekend, I’m one of the few on the team that’s never done a weekend before. Thankfully, my role as spiritual director is a little more in the background, so it’s not too overwhelming! I’ve definitely thought about finding a Kairos community in Seattle, we’ll see how it goes! =)
Hi Emily, I think I’m one of the last to start a blog, so I’m finally getting started. Yours is so cute! I’m still figuring out how to just post!
I hope you guys are doing well. I will be in Seattle for a convention this October, so maybe we’ll see you there! ~april
Shalom
welcome to seattle. if you haven’t found a new home church yet, send me a note, and I’d love to help. My husband and I go to Mars Hill Church, and they have several campuses throughout Seattle. Lots of support for families there.
I’m not exactly how I landed here, but wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog.
I look forward to reading more.
Blessings!
I love your site!
