Emily
Child of God, wife to Clay, mom to Evelyne.
Starting to come-up for air after 18 months as a stay-at-home mom to Ev, pregnant with the next bundle of crying, screaming, sleepless nights joy. Blogging is my attempt to journal my ever-spinning thoughts about motherhood, spirituality, church, moving across the country and leaving everyone you know behind, and oh yeah, my dear husband, the instigator of our cross-country crusade. This is also my attempt to pursue honesty and authenticity in the communication of my thoughts. And instead of bombarding Clay with theories and rants and theological twists, maintaning a more open-ended outlet to the public.

Dear Emily,
Love your blog title and the picture is too cute. I’m adding you to my blogroll and will enjoy reading. . . The move to Seattle will be quite the adventure. I’m an Alabama girl who enjoys the lower price of living, but before marriage and kids I enjoyed a year in California, a year in Colorado, and a year in Oregon. It will be an adventure! You’ll love it, I bet.

good luck with your move…i posted a comment on your kairos blog, don’t know if you saw it…have you served on a number of weekends? are you looking to get plugged into a kairos community in seattle?

Yes, thanks for commenting again! This is actually my first Kairos weekend, I’m one of the few on the team that’s never done a weekend before. Thankfully, my role as spiritual director is a little more in the background, so it’s not too overwhelming! I’ve definitely thought about finding a Kairos community in Seattle, we’ll see how it goes! =)

Hi Emily, I think I’m one of the last to start a blog, so I’m finally getting started. Yours is so cute! I’m still figuring out how to just post!
I hope you guys are doing well. I will be in Seattle for a convention this October, so maybe we’ll see you there! ~april
