You are amazing. You have inspired me to get on the coupon/rebate bandwagon. I am astounded by how much of our monthly budget is devoured by grocery costs. I’ve been looking for a way to trim the fat, and you’ve definitely got ideas I think I can grab hold of. We regularly spend $700 a month, and you’re saying you can do it in $200. Even if I only save $100 a month, it’ll be well worth the effort. Thank you.

These are great tips! Thank you! I am just starting to really get into grocery shopping now (easing my mom into living by myself ) and I am really starting to realise how it all adds up in the end.

When I was both low on time and a budget, I began to make menus according to what was on sale. I saved the menus and before I knew it a had plans for every week of the year. Guess what …..the same products go on sale annually at the same time. So the menus were used for numerous years. Fortunately the lean times ended sometimes I still look over them for ideas.

I love this article! I’m a frugal (cheap) momma too and I’ve been doing this sort of thing for years. But, I did not know about the coupon database at Hot Coupon World. That is awesome! I can’t wait to give it a try next time I need something that isn’t on my grocery game list.

Emmytdra….I’m so proud of you! I didn’t know you were as frugal (“cheap”) as we are. I’m very impressed! I do have to say I have not mastered the coupon thing, but you have definitely inspired me. Maybe once this baby comes I can figure that out. We do love Aldi though. We do our grocery shopping there and go once a month and stock up for the whole month. The grocery stores up here are so dang expensive. You may find that to be true in Seattle too. Hopefully they will have an Aldi. It’s been a lifesaver for us! Thanks again for all your good info!
